RANGE AND CHARGING

RANGE AND CHARGING

I‑PACE lets you go further.

THE FUTURE OF CAR OWNERSHIP

I‑PACE has a range of 470km on the WLTP cycle*. This is enabled through its high tech lithium-ion battery which has a capacity of 90kWh. Next generation electric car technology and our passion for design combine to deliver a zero tailpipe emissions vehicle that remains unmistakably Jaguar.

INTERIOR CLIMATE

Heating and air conditioning systems use energy and this can reduce range. These systems are most often used at the start of a journey so, to reduce the impact on range, I‑PACE has the ability to pre-condition the interior ahead of departure while the car is still charging. This allows I‑PACE to use electricity from the power supply, and not the battery, to heat or cool the interior.

CLEAN, CONVENIENT, HASSLE FREE

I‑PACE’s battery is charged via the car’s plug-in charge point, discreetly located behind the front wheel arch. Once plugged in, you are free to leave I‑PACE to charge. The vehicle will automatically stop charging when it reaches full charge. It’s safe to charge the car in the rain, or even when parked in snow, as the charging system is entirely self-contained.

HOME CHARGING

HOME CHARGING

For optimum charging at home, you can install an approved Jaguar wall box*. I‑PACE is equipped with a 7kW single phase AC on-board charger**, which can fully recharge the vehicle overnight and deliver up to 35km of range per hour. When using a domestic socket, charging rates are slower than a wall box (up to 11km of range per hour), but are sufficient to cover the average daily commute of 60km if the vehicle is charged overnight. Industrial sockets (or upgraded domestic sockets) can charge up to 35 km of range per hour.

*Jaguar have authorised charging infrastructure partnerships for all markets in which I‑PACE is available. Our infrastructure partners are available to advise of the best solutions for you. Please consult your Jaguar Retailer for further information.
**7kW electricity supply is available in most countries.
PUBLIC CHARGING

PUBLIC CHARGING

The best way to get a quick top up of your battery’s charge for those long journeys is with DC chargers – a typical 50kW charger can deliver up to 270km of range per hour*. As the public charging infrastructure improves, I‑PACE will be equipped to accept up to a 100kW DC charge rate. This means you can easily add 100km of range in just 15 minutes. Depending upon the service provider, public AC chargers can have a range of outputs. You can also find convenient charging points at places you may want to stay for several hours – or even overnight – including local shopping centres, hotels and gyms. Simply pull up, plug in, then go enjoy yourself.

Jaguar have authorised public charging partnerships for all markets in which I‑PACE is available.
*A DC rapid charger provides large amounts of energy in a short amount of time. The charging rate decreases as the battery reaches full capacity, therefore, in most cases it is quicker to rapid charge up to 80 percent capacity or for the extended range required.

CHARGING CABLES

HOME CHARGING CABLE

HOME CHARGING CABLE

The home charging cable enables you to charge the vehicle using a domestic power socket. Ask your Jaguar Retailer for more information on using I‑PACE in other countries.
PUBLIC CHARGING CABLE

PUBLIC CHARGING CABLE

The Public Charging Cable (known as a Mode 3 Charging Cable) connects I‑PACE to standard AC public charging points*. This cable can also be used to connect to a home wall box. Rapid DC public charging points feature a tethered cable so you do not need to supply your own. Ask your Jaguar Retailer for more information on your local and national public charging networks.
* Public Charging Cable (Mode 3 Charging Cable) is supplied as standard with I‑PACE models sold in mainland Europe.
HOME WALL BOX INSTALLATION

HOME WALL BOX INSTALLATION

Our approved wall box suppliers and installers will ensure any work is carried out to the highest standards. The robust wall box can be fitted on your driveway, in your garage or at any other suitable convenient locations at your home. Ask your Jaguar Retailer for more information.

*WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicle Test Procedure) is the new process that has been phased in from 2017, which measures fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions in passenger vehicles in Europe. This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. It tests vehicles with optional equipment and with a more demanding test procedure and driving profile.
